Are You Playing God for a “Fool”?

It’s common knowledge that Black people have a reputation for loving Jesus. I mean let’s be honest here, how many Black people do you know who don’t claim some sort of religion, even if you never see them go to church?

Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool. For a person will reap what he sows

Galatians 6:7 – New English Version

Despite the existence of this scripture, many seem to think that prayer is the religious “get out of jail free” card. There is a mistaken belief that as long as you appeal to God and apologize for the sinful things you do, all will be well, but is this the case?

Think back to the last time you did something “wrong” (I’ll let you decide what “wrong” is). How did things go for you?

Dishonestly, criminality, infidelity, you name it. Every negative action carries with it consequences that can affect you for the rest of your life.

Take a look at any predominantly Black community and tell me whether you SEE the a Christ-like attitude being displayed in action. Is our religion a way of life or just a crutch we lean on when times are tough?

I recently watched a documentary that I think all Black people should watch. It is eye-opening and forces us to self-reflect.

As of the date of this post, the documentary is currently available on Amazon Prime Video.
